About Me
This is my eleventh year teaching Music and Computers here at West Point Elementary School.  I see every student once a week for a 45 minute Music Class and every two weeks for Computers.  I also am responsible for technology issues within the school, including maintaining our webpage, addressing PowerSchool questions, and troubleshooting computer, SMARTBoard, and printer problems.
I am a California native.  I attended Wheaton College, just outside Chicago, where I majored in English Literature and Political Science.  I become a trial attorney after attending law school in Sacramento, California.  We moved to Virginia in 1990, where I continued to practice law.  I entered the Career Switcher program with Old Dominion University and obtained a Virginia teaching license with endorsements in Middle School English and General Music K-12.
Music has always been my passion.  My primary instrument is the violin.  I played in my college's symphony orchestra and have played in community orchestras in California and Virginia.  I am currently a member of the Northern Neck Orchestra in Kilmarnock.  I also play a little piano, guitar, ukulele, recorder, and many percussion instruments!  I am a member of my church band and have sung in numerous choirs throughout my adult life.
I am married to John Redmond, a Virginia Beach native.  We have 2 adult children, Jenny and Russell, who both graduated from West Point Public Schools.
